Membrane Cleaner - targets biofilm Genesol 80 is a membrane cleaner for use in reverse osmosis (RO), Nanofiltration (NF) and Ultrafiltration (UF) membrane systems. Genesol 80 targets biofilm which predominantly consists of a glycocalyx layer of extracellular polysaccharide materials secreted by bacteria under stress. When this biofilm layer complexes with organics commonly found in membrane systems they become extremely challenging to remove. The cleaning mechanism of Genesol 80 allows it to effectively penetrate and disrupt biofilm and organic material found on the membrane surface.

Application of Genesol 80 Membrane Cleaner

Genesol 80 Antiscalant Chemicals is the best Mernbrane Cleaner Chemicals in BD can be used off line as part of the normal membrane CIP procedure at a concentration of 2% v/v. It can also be applied continuously on line with a dose rate of 10-40mg/l depending on the severity of the biofouling. Genesol 80 can also be dosed on an intermittent basis every 4-8 hours at 10-80mg/l to inhibit biofilm formation and maintain a clean membrane surface.
